Brush of Angel's Wings by Ruth Reid

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of this
review

As per usual I was super excited to read another Amish Fiction books. I believe this is the first one that I have read by Ruth Reid, and Ill be honest it wasn't as good as some others I have read. I couldn't get into it as easily as I normally do. With that being said it was an okay book. Maybe a 3 star rating.

This one was about Rachel a young Amish woman who of course at marriage age with no interest in marriage or doing any of the housework that would make her a "good wife" . She would much rather send time in the fields and barn with her Father, a  role she had taken on after the death of her brother. This was all fine and dandy till her father hired a young non Amish man, Jordan  to help with those duties and sent Rachel back into the house to work on her womanly skills. Jordan's entrance into the family didn't set well at first. Will they be able to get over their corrals and learn to like each other and be able to stand each others presence ?

In Too Deep by Mary Connealy

I received a copy of this book for review purposes from Bethany House Publishers.  I am under no obligation to write a positive review, just an honest one.

This is the second book in The Kincaid Brides series. Having read the first book I was super excited about reading this one. I honestly couldn't remember all the details of the first one since it had been a while since I read it and I have read quit a few books since then. But Mary did a great job catching you up on the plot of the first one that anyone could read this one and be fine, although I would recommended reading the first one because it was super good as well.

This book is about the middle of the Kincaid brothers Ethan and his forced upon marriage to a single mother of two Audra. Neither Ethan nor Audra were too excited about being forced to be married but they knew it what needed to be done in order to protect Audra's two daughters from her first marriage, one that she was also forced into. Her first husband may be dead but his poor decisions are still haunting Audra and putting her whole family at risk.  Will they be able to find the money that he stole before the bandits that are after it find them ?

The Scent of Cherry Blossoms by Cindy Woodsmall

The publishers of this book provided me with a free copy of this book. I offer my true and honest opinions about it.

This was a different kind of Amish story, Of course as always it was about love of a young couple but this time it was about the mixed religions of love and how one must figure out if they want to stick with their faith or follow the heart.

Annie a young Mennonite woman has a scuffle  with her mother and is shipped of to live with her grandfather who is also of the Mennonite faith but living in Amish country. Annie had been going to her grandfathers for many years when he was in poor health or an extra hand is needed. This trip sparks fly between Annie and a young Amish man named Aden who is a business partner with her grandfather. Will Annie follow her heart and break her family up or will she follow the faith that she has committed herself too.

I really enjoyed this book, but it was just too short. I read it in a day and half. But as always I love Cindy Woodsmall's stories.
