This is the second book in The Kincaid Brides series. Having read the first book I was super excited about reading this one. I honestly couldn't remember all the details of the first one since it had been a while since I read it and I have read quit a few books since then. But Mary did a great job catching you up on the plot of the first one that anyone could read this one and be fine, although I would recommended reading the first one because it was super good as well.
This book is about the middle of the Kincaid brothers Ethan and his forced upon marriage to a single mother of two Audra. Neither Ethan nor Audra were too excited about being forced to be married but they knew it what needed to be done in order to protect Audra's two daughters from her first marriage, one that she was also forced into. Her first husband may be dead but his poor decisions are still haunting Audra and putting her whole family at risk. Will they be able to find the money that he stole before the bandits that are after it find them ?

The Scent of Cherry Blossoms by Cindy Woodsmall
The publishers of this book provided me with a free copy of this book. I offer my true and honest opinions about it.
This was a different kind of Amish story, Of course as always it was about love of a young couple but this time it was about the mixed religions of love and how one must figure out if they want to stick with their faith or follow the heart.
Annie a young Mennonite woman has a scuffle with her mother and is shipped of to live with her grandfather who is also of the Mennonite faith but living in Amish country. Annie had been going to her grandfathers for many years when he was in poor health or an extra hand is needed. This trip sparks fly between Annie and a young Amish man named Aden who is a business partner with her grandfather. Will Annie follow her heart and break her family up or will she follow the faith that she has committed herself too.
I really enjoyed this book, but it was just too short. I read it in a day and half. But as always I love Cindy Woodsmall's stories.

The Captive Heart by Dale Cramer
I received a copy of this book for review purposes from Bethany House Publishers. I am under no obligation to write a positive review, just an honest one.
This was my favorite kind of story...an Amish story! I don't know what it is about the Amish lifestyle that fascinates me but I just love books with that theme. This one was about an Amish community who recently moved to Mexico and are trying to settle. But the Mexican native bandits arent too kin on this plan. Young Miriam finds herself in a bit of a pickle. at the age of 19 she is starting to be considered an old maid since she has yet to marry and is running our of time to find her a husband. This all changes when Micah comes to Mexico from Ohio to join the community, but Miriam's heart belongs to someone else ....Domingo a Mexican....what will Miriam do?

A Wedding Invitation by Alice J. Wisler
I received a copy of this book for review purposes from Bethany House Publishers. I am under no obligation to write a positive review, just an honest one.
This book was a cute story about Samantha who accidentally found herself at the wrong wedding , this accident lead to some major changes in her life and connecting with old friend and maybe even a second chance at love. I felt this story was a little slow to get started and it jumped from past to present wasn't as transitional as it possible could have been. But all in all it was a cute story and worth your read if you have time.

Wonderland Creek by Lynn Austin
I received this book from the publishers in exchange for this review.
This is a book about finding your purpose in life. Self-centered librarian Alice Grace lives in Illinois, she always has her nose in a book and lives in a dreamland and often misses what is going on in her "real " life when she looses her job she needs to find a purpose and something to do she delivers a donation of books to a deprived town in Kentucky, Acron . Once in Acorn , Alice gets a taste of reality and soon learns that she was indeed caught up in the book world and had no idea what living was. She has real life adventures and problem solving.
I really enjoyed this book, I had trouble putting it down at night and found myself totally wrapped up in the story. It sometimes seemed that it was a little over the top.But all in all it was a good time, laugh a little book.

This is the second Songbird series written by country music artist Sara Evans and Rachel Hauck, being a HUGE Sara fan i couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Sadly it took me a little longer to read it than I would like, but such is life.
In this second book we find Jade happily married to Max and trying to get pregnant with no such luck. Her mother is dying and begging to go home to Iowa to spend her dying days where she grew up. Her husband Max's parents June and Rebel are having a trying time as well. Just when Jade thinks it cant get worse a HUGE curve ball is thrown her way when a ex-girlfriend of Max's had died and left a huge surprise at her doormat....a child, that is Max's. How will Jade deal with all these challenges? You will have to stick your nose in Softly & Tenderly and find out.
I really enjoyed this book, it just kept throwing curveballs as soon as i thought I knew how it was going to end. Cant wait to read the final book in the series!!
